A pulverising mill having grinding elements co-acting with a rotatable grinding table (2, 6) provided with throat means (10) rotatable therewith including radially inner and radially outer coaxial cylindrical walls (28, 36) and, extending therebetween, vanes (34) inclined to axial planes. The rotatable grinding table includes a grinding ring (2) of abrasion resistant, cast, hard iron mounted on a support table (6) and the radially inner cylindrical wall (28) of the throat means (10) is secured to a cylindrical, carbon steel, band (24) force fitted and preferably secured by bolts (32) on a circumferential cylindrical face (20) machined on a radially outer edge portion of the grinding ring (2).
