PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tough stretch shrinkable label having an excellent gloss, less liable to natural shrinkage and capable of easy sealing with a solvent. SOLUTION: The stretch shrinkable label 1 consists of a base film 2 and a printed layer 3 disposed on at least one face of the base film 2. The base film 2 consists of a central layer 4 comprising linear low density polyethylene containing a 4-8Cα-olefin as a comonomer or metallocene-containing polyethylene and surface layers 5 comprising an amorphous cyclic olefin polymer laminated on both sides of the central layer 4. Then the base film is elongated 1.25 times in one direction X and held for 3 sec, recovery is 0-4%. When the base film is immersed in hot water at 80 deg.C for 10 sec, heat shrinkage in the direction X is 10-30%. The base film may be formed in a cylinder shape in such a way that the direction X coincides with the peripheral direction. In this case, center sealing with an organic solvent is carried out.
