PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device facilitating to visually check a display part by always lightening it. SOLUTION: This display device is mounted with a light storage part 22 in a display part 13 of a bus signpost 11, and a cathode-ray tube 18 for a light source is arranged to be turned on intermittently on the back of the light storage part 22. When irradiated with solar light, etc., the light storage plate 24 constituting the light storage part 22 stores the optical energy as another energy, and converts the energy to emit light when the solar light, etc., are lost. The bus signpost 11 stores energy in the light storage plate 24 in the daytime. Immediately when the cathode-ray tube 18 is turned on and starts brightly lighting the display part 13 after sunset, energy is stored in the light storage plate 24. After the cathode-ray tube 18 is turned off, the display part 13 is brightly lighted by the emission of the light storage plate 24.
