PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detune natural vibration frequency easily from a vibration source frequency, in a state where a vertical shaft rotating electric machine is installed. SOLUTION: A lower bearing bracket is fixed to the lower end of a stator frame 22, and an upper bearing bracket 24 is fixed to the upper end. A stator 28 is arranged inside a stator frame 22. A rotor shaft 32 of a rotor 31 is rotatably installed on the lower bearing bracket and the upper bearing bracket 24, via bearings 29, 30. A cooling fan 35 is fixed to an end portion which protrudes from the upper bearing bracket 24 of the rotor shaft 32. In the upper bearing bracket 24, internal thread parts 39 as overlap fixing parts are formed in a plurality of portions in the vicinity of the bearing 29. A necessary number of overlaps 40 are detachably fixed to the internal thread parts 39 with a screw 41.
