PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a camera which does not require much time for assembly, which realizes night viewing by radiating infrared rays to a monitoring area and which is hardly recognized by a monitoring object by forming at least the infrared irradiation part of a dome type container of resin which does not transmit visible light but transmits infrared rays. SOLUTION: In this dome type noctovision camera, an infrared light emitting diode 5 is housed in a camera part housing case 6 constituting the dome type container with a lower case 2, and the infrared rays are radiated to perform night viewing. In the camera, the outer periphery of the dome type container is covered with a cover formed of resin which does not transmit the visible light but transmits the infrared rays. Therefore, the visible light is not leaked to the outside even when the diode 5 is lit, so that the monitoring object does not recognize that the noctovision camera is actuated even in the dark. A hole for an infrared light emitting diode need not be formed on the camera part housing case, and the camera part housing case is easily produced, then the hole and the light emitting diode need not be aligned in the case of assembly.
