PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for security of a portable telephone where a reply at the arrival of an incoming call is quickened, authentication is performed with respect to referencing/edit of personal information, a user can make call out, reference and edit without notifying authentication and high security is realized. SOLUTION: The security system for a portable telephone that identifies users to secure the security is provided with camera sections 12, 23 that photograph living body information specific to a user and with authentication sections 24, 25, 26 that store the living body information of legal users photographed by the camera sections 12, 23, compare the living body information specific to a user photographed by the camera sections 12, 23 at dialing with any of the stored living body information and conduct dialing after the authentication.
