<p>A configurable remote control for controlling functions of an electronic device or system is shown. The remote control includes a base unit having a processing system using an open architecture and one or more interchangeable function modules. The function modules are operable with the base unit to provide a function or functions to the remote control. In this manner, the remote control may be configured for the specific requirements of a particular electronic device or system, or customized for the preferences of an individual user or group of users.</p> |
