An adaptive array antenna operates using the method of least squares with no need for a known reference signal on the receiver side. An array antenna (1) includes a plurality of antenna elements (11 to 14), and down-converters (D/C) (21 to 24) are connected with a plurality of antenna elements (11 to 14) to convert the signals received through the array antenna (1) to IF signals. A/D converters (31 to 34) convert the IF signals to digital signals, and a signal processor (4) weights the antenna elements (11 to 14) based on the signals received through one of the antenna elements (11 to 14). A reference signal is generated from a received signal, and thus an adaptive array antenna using the method of least squares is realized without preparing a known reference signal on the receiver side.
|
