<p>A fountain pen nib has a resiliently flexible intermediate portion (8) confined by longitudinal slots (9) to provide improved control over flexing movements of the nib. Ink is supplied to the tip (2) of the nib by a capillary ink channel which can be formed by a slit (3) or by a groove (14) on the underside of the nib, in either case the channel extending rearwardly beyond the intermediate portion (8) to assist ink supply to the channel.</p> |
