<p>A three way valve (10) for selectively controlling a flow of gas between one passage (26) and at least one (38) of two (28, 38) additional passages includes a valve assembly (20) having a body (22) including a lower chamber (24) communicating with first and second oppositely disposed controlled ports (30, 28) having first and second opposed valve seats (36, 34) aligned on an axis (18). A third inlet/outlet port (26) also communicates with the lower chamber (24). A valve member (42) in the body (22) includes a shaft (44) that is reciprocably movable on the axis and carries at least one head (48, 46) with first and second axially spaced seat engaging surfaces that are, respectively, alternately engageable with the valve seats (36, 34) for closing their respective ports (30, 28). A biasing spring (55) urges the valve member (42) in a first direction for closing the first port (30) and opening the second port (28).</p> |
