A clamp (10) includes first and second jaws (14, 12), at least the first jaw (14) being biased towards the second jaw (12) by an extension (16) of the first jaw (14) which extension (16) is connected to an extension (18) of the second jaw (12) so that movement of the extension (16) of the first jaw (14) towards the extension (18) of the second jaw (12) causes the first jaw (14) to move away from the second jaw (12) and thus open the jaws to receive an object to be clamped between the jaws.
