PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a user interface system which allows a user to continue processing without any disturbance even when a modal dialog box is displayed. SOLUTION: When a modal dialog is displayed (S15), the background color of a master screen is changed (S14) to visually notify a user that the master screen is not in a state where input can be made. When the modal dialog box is erased (S16), the background color of the master screen is returned to the original background color (S17 and S18).
