PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply verify the shape of a product by using image processing on the basis of real mapping picked up with a camera. SOLUTION: The position of a main point 55, the direction of a main axis 56 and the focal length of a camera optical system are specified in accordance with a three-dimensional coordinate system (x,y,z). The imagery plane coordinate system (xi,yi) of a camera is constituted in a virtual space in a computer, on the basis of the camera information. In the virtual space, the three-dimensional image of an object W which is reproduced on the basis of design data is projected on an imagery plane. As a result, the ideal two-dimensional image of the object W is drawn on the imagery plane. By comparing the ideal two-dimensional image with the real mapping of the object W, the shape of the object W can be verified. |
