PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a change in the electrostatic state of toner particles in a developer due to the decrease of the toner particle content of the developer by the consumption of toner particles, to eliminate unevenness in development in an image forming process, to make obtainable a good image. SOLUTION: In the image forming method in which an electrophotographic two-component developer is used, toner particles are taken in accordance with the decrease of the toner particle content of the developer by the consumption of toner particles and an electrostatic charge image formed on an image support is developed with toner particles charged by agitating and mixing the developer, the relation of the expression Qt<=1.2.Qc.(1-W)/W is satisfied by the absolute value Qt of the average quantity of saturation electric charges per unit weight of the toner particles, the absolute value Qc of the maximum quantity of electric charges which can be imparted per unit weight of carrier particles and the toner particle content W of the developer on weight basis. In the expression, 0<W<=Wm<1, wherein Wm is the upper limit of the toner particle content of the developer on weight basis during use. |
