PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform the photography of a panoramic image and to realize the photography of the panoramic image with high accuracy quantitatively by automatically performing photography and displaying the effect when a measured rotational angle is equal to a previously set trigger rotational angle. SOLUTION: In this electronic still camera, one panoramic image is provided by performing the photography of plural images in a state; where they spatially and stereoscopically continue and synthesizing plural images. A rotational angle measuring means 111 measures the rotational angle of the camera from a previous photographing point in a panoramic photographing mode. A control circuit 108 compares the measured rotational angle of the camera with the previously set trigger rotational angle, transmits a release signal and fetches charge by using an imaging device 101 and automatically performs photography when they are equal. Furthermore, when the value of measured rotational angle is equal to the value of the trigger rotational angle, the effect is displayed for a user on a live viewer through an indicator.
