PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog electronic clock provided with a reverse transmission preventing mechanism, allowing use of large clock hands. SOLUTION: This clock has a driving gear having a wheel train comprising both a partial gear, and a projecting arc member 5 disposed on the same shaft as a rotation shaft of the partial gear and rotating interlockingly with the partial gear; a driven gear meshing with the partial gear; and a reverse transmission preventing mechanism disposed to interlock with the driven gear. The projecting arc member 5 has at least two projecting arc side face parts disposed at even intervals around the rotation shaft, while teeth of the partial gear are disposed in positions corresponding to portions not formed with the projecting arc side face parts. The reverse transmission preventing member has plural contact parts contacting with two points of the projecting arc side face parts in the projecting arc member 5. A distance (d) between the rotation center of the driven gear and the rotation center of the driving gear, an arc radius (p) of the arc side face part, and a distance R from the contact part of the arc side face part and the reverse transmission preventing member to the rotation center of the driven gear satisfy the relation R>d-p.
