PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of bubbles in a liquid crystal which forms gap between a substrate and the surface of the liquid crystal. SOLUTION: Spacers 21 are disposed with an increased interval corresponding to the position of pixels of a green layer 26 in the pixels of three colors. Thus, the interval of supporting positions by the spacers 21 is increased by five pixels in the horizontal direction and by 2 pixels in the vertical direction on the plane where the columnar spacers 21 are disposed, and the substrate can be deflected following the dimensional changes in the gap caused by temp. changes of the liquid crystal.
