PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set which is used for transmission and reception in a state where it is fitted to a pocket or the like. SOLUTION: A slit is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the outer case of the portable telephone set or a cover 1 for covering it, or a pole 12 is disposed and, then, one side of a string having fitting fixtures at the other side is engaged in a freely movable state concerning the slit or the pole 12. Thus, transmission/reception is executed in a state where the telephone set is fitted to the pocket or the like with the string.
