The aim of the invention is to guarantee a multi-pole, especially three-pole, protection for an low voltage switchgear (3) by means of an undervoltage release (2). A rectifier bridge (4) with a number of rectifier branches (4a, 4b, 4c) feeding an electromagnetic release device (5) and corresponding to the number of phases (L1, L2, L3) is provided. Said rectifier bridge (4) is fed by a multi-phase supply system (L1, L2, L3, N). An all-pole release of the low voltage switchgear (3) is carried out by means of the release device (5) when at least one phase (L1, L2, L3) is malfunctioning.
