The sieve (10) has a dished container (11) with sieve openings in its base (12), containing a rotary sieve blade (19) attached to a manually rotated shaft (13), provided with a handle at its opposite end. The shaft projects through the base of the container, with its projecting end (14) carrying a stripper (20), for removing the food passed through the sieve openings. The stripper is provided with a spring loop, passed around the shaft end and a pair of projecting arms, providing the stripping function.
