PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove effectively volatile organic compounds brought about from new construction materials, wall paper, ceiling materials or others of a house, or furniture or the like, by providing an inlet of air to be treated in the lower part of the main body of an air cleaner and also by providing an outlet of clean air on the upper side of the main body. SOLUTION: Support leg members 2 are provided in the lower part of the main body 1 of an air cleaner of which the front shape is square practically, and thereby the main body 1 is supported in a state of being lifted from a floor surface. An inlet 3 of air to be treated is provided on the lower side of the main body 1, while an outlet 4 of clean air is provided on the upper side of the main body 1. A motor-driven fan for sucking/blowing off air, an air cleaning part (an adsorption filter, a decomposing treatment part using a photocatalyst, etc.), duct members, etc., are provided inside the main body 1. According to this constitution, VOC(volatile organic compound) brought about from a floor material is sucked in with the air and made efficiently treatable and thereby the effect of the VOC on a human body is decreased. |
