发明名称 METHOD FOR DESIGNING THE RS OPERATION UNIT USING TREE STRUCTURE OF REED-SOLOMON DECODER
摘要 PURPOSE: An RS(Reed-Solomon) operation unit design method using a tree structure of an RS decoder is provided to effectively use in RS decoding or other communication by maximizing utilization of Berlekamp algorithm and error correction. CONSTITUTION: An 8-bit data is provided for RS decoding with a syndrome polynomial calculation. The number of calculations is counted and the final syndrome value is provided. The error position is output by calculating error position polynomials using Berlekamp algorithms. The error value for the error position is output. RS operation polynomial look-up table values are provided to the Berlekamp and error corrector. The error values are stored and various control signals are generated to output 8-bit decoded output data, effective signal of RS output data and first data of 207 bytes.
