PURPOSE: A body structure of a low ground clearance bus simplifies the structure of the side pillar assembly of a bus and lowers the ground clearance of the bus. CONSTITUTION: A 1,2,3,4 snug concave portions are formed on an upper, a middle and a lower horizontal side pillars(20,21,22) and on a lower horizontal side pillar(52) of a roof pillar assembly(50). Further, the widths of the upper, the middle and the lower horizontal side pillars(20,21,22), and the lower horizontal side pillar(52) is enlarged and the strengths of them are reinforced. Thus, a side pillar assembly(10) is protected from a side impact. Further, a ground clearance between a frame(43) and a floor panel(44) is lowered.
