The bio fouling indirect and direct combined metering monitor comprises a continuous evaluator of the growth of bio fouling film in the tubes of a tube bundle. The heat exchanger tubes are also monitored indirectly by measuring the friction factor and the resistance to heat transfer. The heat exchange is between two fluids, one of which contains microorganisms.
