PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a chord vibration without increasing a power loss. SOLUTION: This silent chain is provided with plural link plates 4 having a pair of connection holes 12 at both ends, locker pins 7, inserted in the mutual connection holes 12 of the link plates 4 superposed together in a thickness direction, for connecting a lot of link plates 4 endlessly by connecting the link plates 4 mutually in a relatively rotatable state, and coned disk springs 10 exerting the pushing force in the thickness direction by contacting to the link plates 4. The ends of the coned disk springs 10 are arranged so as to be superposed mutually at the projection surface of the thickness direction of each link plate 4 and these coned disk springs 10 are bent in chevron shape in the plane orthogonally crossing with the running direction of the silent chain.
