PURPOSE: A rotary compressor is provided to prevent oil mixed with liquid refrigerant from being drained through a discharge pipe together with high-temperature high-pressure compressed gas refrigerant. CONSTITUTION: A body(100) of a rotary compressor has a discharge pipe(110) and a suction pipe(120) mounted on the upper and lower portion. The discharge pipe is connected with a condenser through a refrigerant tube while the suction pipe penetrates an accumulator(200). A motor(130) is mounted in the body, including a stator(131) fixed to the inside of the body, a rotor(132) set in the center and a rotatable shaft(133). A vane(134) is mounted on the rotor as a balancer, and a plate(135) thereon is inserted into the lower end of the discharge pipe. The plate has an oil separator(300) for separating oil particles injected together with high-temperature high-pressure compressed refrigerant. Therefore, an evaporator keeps cooling efficiency regular as the oil circulates through the refrigerant without remaining on the inside wall of the evaporator.
