PURPOSE: An apparatus for discriminating the driving direction of a motor is provided to precisely control the speed and position of the motor of an electric vehicle by accurately discriminating the driving direction of the motor of the electric vehicle. CONSTITUTION: Two encoders for detecting the rpm of a motor are installed so as to control the driving of the motor. A signal generating section(10) receives two driving signals(A,B) from two encoders and generates four signals based on two driving signals(A,B). A determining section(20) is provided to output the motor driving direction signal by receiving four signals. A control signal generating section(30) receives a reset signal and signals generated from the determining section(20), thereby generating an output control signal of the determining section(20).
