SHADING CORRECTION AND HALFTONEING PROCESSING METHOD

PURPOSE: An apparatus for correcting shading and processing halftone is provided to reduce the size of a circuit using the same subtracter when shading is corrected and halftone are processed. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for correcting shading and processing halftone includes the first multiplexer(510) for receiving scanned source data values and value to which an error value of a current pixel value and a surrounding pixel value is added. The second multiplexer(520) receives a reference value for shading correction and a weight value of a matrix. A subtracter(550) subtracts one of the inputted values from the first and second multiplexers based on a control signal. At least one storage temporarily stores the subtracted result.
