PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an interactive apparatus for surgical treatment of eyes by topography. SOLUTION: These apparatus and the method are to generate a specified corrected curvature of a cornea by cutting the surface of the cornea of an eye to correct irregularity of the cornea. The embodiment contains a topographic device 42 to map the irregularity of the cornea, the unevenness of the surface of the cornea and the like in details and an interface device which receives a topography data to handle and applies an instruction to a laser device 46 to execute a specified removal profile on a base body of a framework or the like while various visual displays are performed to show actual situations before and after treatment and a simulated situation. The interface device which is made autonomous and usable by a surgeon allows the surgeon to examine wide ranging potential surgical alternative treatments for detects of the cornea in a wide range containing the irregularities of the shape of eyes and unevenness of the surface of the cornea so that the surgeon can input his own expertise for the development of a clinical removal profile better suited to characteristics of the eyes of the cornea to allow simulation as well.
