PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new amine compound suitable as e.g. a hole injection transport material for organic electroluminescent devices. SOLUTION: This new amine compound is a compound of formula I [X1 and X2 are each a (substituted) N-carbazolyl, (substituted) N-phenoxazinyl or the like; R1 and R2 are each H, an alkyl, (substituted) aryl or the like; and Z1 and Z2 are each H, a halogen, alkyl or the like], e.g. 7-(N'-carbazolyl)-N,N- diphenyl-9H-fluorene-2-amine. The compound of formula I is obtained, for example, by reaction between a 2,7-dihalogenofluorene derivative and an X1-modifying agent (e.g. carbazole, phenoxazine, phenothiazine) to form a compound of formula II (Y is a halogen) which, in turn, is reacted (Ullmann reaction) with an X2-modifying agent (e.g. carbazole, phenoxazine, phenothiazine) in the presence of a copper compound.
