PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent which has excellent degreasing potency and detergency in the field of aqueous metal cleaning and prevents discoloration by oxidation with oxygen dissolved in water. SOLUTION: This solution comprises (A) 1-20 wt.% alkali metal slat, (B) 10-10,000 ppm of a hydroxylamine compound represented by formula I, and (C) 0.1-15 wt.% glycol ether represented by formula II. In formula I, R1 and R2 are each hydrogen, a 1-7C alkyl, a 2-7C alkenyl, a 1-4C alkanol group, or cycloalkyl). In formula II: R1-(O-CnH2n)m-OR2, (R1 and R2 denote each hydrogen or a 1-10C alkyl and (n) is 2 or 3; and (m) is an integer of 1-3).
