PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a deaerating roller to have optimum weight and size corresponding to a working condition by providing an iron core also serving as a weight and a long metal made holding body, constituting a cylindrical body so as to spirally wind the long holding body and placing the iron core in the cylindrical body to weld both materials. SOLUTION: In the production of the deaerating roller used at the time of applying a polyester resin liquid on the surface of concrete, where nonwoven fabric or glass fiber is placed, wool bundle 3 is formed by bundling pig wool and is inserted into the long metal made holding body 4 and the root is crimped. The long holding body 4 having the wool bundle 3 crimped in the roof forms the cylindrical body (t) by being spirally wound to adjoin a long spacer 5. The iron core 6 also serving as the weight is inserted into the cylindrical body (t) to be welded to constitute a roller main body (a). The deaerating roller to be used is constituted so as to fix the diameter of the roller main body (a) and the weight of the iron core 6 to be optimum value corresponding to the working condition.
