PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a footwear not to disturb proper walking of a person. SOLUTION: A sole 2 of the footwear is composed of an upper layer part 3 and a lower layer part, which have elasticity together, and have uniform thickness as a whole. On the grounding surface of the lower layer part, a slit 5a is provided along a lengthwise straight line through one point in the area corresponding to a plantar arch and a slit 5b is provided along a line segment forming plural similar rectangles having two confronted points on the straight line with one point as a center and having two confronted points on a straight line orthogonal to the said straight line and the extension thereof on the grounding surface. When walking, the sole 2 is easily deformed corresponding to the state of a foot by the slits 5a and 5b.
