PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the embroidery frame support device which can effectively prevent an embroidery frame from hanging down by the excessive weight of an article to be embroidered and can thereby embroider good embroidery patterns by the use of the embroidering machine, by supplementally supporting the embroidery frame with another support member except holding arms. SOLUTION: This embroidering machine is provided with a frame support 6 which can be driven in the directions of X and Y on the basis of embroidery data and with holding arms 11 attached to the frame support 6 in a cantilever state to hold the embroidery frame 10. Therein, a support 17 capable of being moved only in the direction of Y is disposed together with the frame support 6 to support the embroidery frame 10.
