PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which is useful as a substitute for chlorofluoroethane cleaning agents and can be easily recovered and reused by compounding a saturated hydrocarbon with an alkoxyalkyl acetate. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 5-95 wt.%, preferably 50-70 wt.%, 7-11C saturated hydrocarbon, 95-5 wt.%, preferably 50-30 wt.%, alkoxyalkyl acetate the alkyl part of the alkoxyalkyl group of which is a linear or branched 1-6C alkyl group, and if necessary, 0.1-20 wt.%, preferably 1.0-10 wt.%, at least one solvent selected from among saturated hydrocarbons, epoxides, nitroalkanes, amines, alcohols, ethers, glycol ethers, ketones, aliphatic esters and halogenated hydrocarbons. The composition does not cause ozonosphere disruption.
