COMPOSITION FOR INTRODUCING OLIGODENDROCYTE-SPECIFIC GENE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specifically allow an oligodendrocyte of normal quiescent state to express a therapeutic gene for a long period. SOLUTION: The objective composition is composed of a recombinant adenovirus vector having CD4 gene on the downstream side of a myelin basic protein(MBP) promoter and a human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) vector containing a therapeutic gene. Accordingly, a recombinant adenovirus vector coding for CD4 gene is introduced into the downstream region of a myelin basic protein(MBP) promoter to effect the transient expression of CD4 molecule by an oligodendrocyte, and a recombinant human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) vector containing the therapeutic gene and recognizing the transiently expressed CD4 molecule is introduced to enable the specific and continuing expression of the therapeutic gene by the oligodendrocyte.
