PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device suited for automatic sorting of fruits and vegetables such as cucumbers. SOLUTION: This conveying device 2 for conveying articles 1 such as fruits and vegetables, is provided with plural article brackets 3 along the conveying direction. The respective article brackets 3 have a belt conveyor structure, and is capable of laterally sliding to drawn out from under the articles 1. The rotation of a belt 4 is regulated, and when the article brackets 3 is slid laterally, the articles 1 is prevented from laterally moving, and only the article brackets 3 can be drawn out.
