摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material having a cellular structure of open cells and/or closed cells, low thermal conductivity and excellent compressive strength by foaming an alkali silicate and/or ammonium silicate whose water content is controlled. SOLUTION: The mineral foamed body building and structural material, which consists of a uniformly foamed alkali silicate and/or ammonium silicate matrix and having the cellular structure that the bulk density is 0.004 to 0.10 g/cm3, the compressive strength is in the range of 0.010 to 0.5 MPa and the thermal conductivity is in the range of 0.03 to 0.1 W/m.K, is obtained by supplying the alkali silicate and/or ammonium silicate to a mixing unit 2 from a storage place 1 for these raw materials, then controlling water content to 5 to 20 wt.%, supplying the resultant mixture through a feeder 3 to a drier, drying the mixture, sending the dried material into a forming furnace 4 equipped with different heating zones 5-8, irradiating the dried material with micro wave for a time of <=600 sec to heat it to 100 to 700 deg.C for uniformly foaming and finally cutting the foamed material into a desired size by using a shearing machine 9.</p>
