The U-shaped head of the pedicle screw forms a receiving seat for the rod, which receives a fixing device for fixing the rod. The fixing device comprises a U-shaped clamping yoke whose legs can be connected with positive fit to the head of the pedicle screw and whose bridge holds a fixing screw. By means of the fixing screw, a U-shaped fixing yoke can be clamped with the ends of its legs against the rod, to the sides of the clamping yoke.
