ARCHITECTURAL MEMBER OF CASTING ALUMINUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently secure strength by enclosing a core material formed of a metal having a higher strength than aluminum into the inside of a member. SOLUTION: This architectural member 30 is constituted of a pipe 32 formed to have a substantially square section and a hollow inside and a tabular connection part 34 formed to project outward from an arbitrary face of the pipe 32. The member 30 is integrally formed of casting aluminum as a whole while joining the pipe 32 to the connection part 34. Core members 33, 35 are enclosed in the pipe 32 and the connection part 34. A square steel pipe made of iron or stainless steel is used for the core member 33 in the pipe 32 and a tubular steel plate made of iron or stainless steel is used for the core member 35 of the connection part 34. In this way, the ends of the core members 35, 35 formed in the casting aluminum 36 are protruded outward. Even mutual members made of casting aluminum 36 can be favorably connected while securing the strength.
