PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic warehouse which is highly efficient at the time of warehousing or delivery. SOLUTION: In this automatic warehouse, warehousing devices 4 are provided at a position which corresponds to a storage shelf 1B and at a position which corresponds to a storage shelf 1C, and delivering devices 3 are provided at a position which corresponds to a storage shelf 1D and at a position which corresponds to a storage shelf 1E. Namely, between adjacent units, warehousing equipments 4 or delivery equipments 3 are respectively arranged so that they are adjacent to each other. Thus, for example, an article to be warehoused in a storage shelf 1A or 1B, and an article to be warehoused in a storage shelf 1C or 1C can be simultaneously delivered to corresponding warehousing equipments 4. Further, an article delivered from the storage shelf 1A or 1B, and an article delivered from the storage shelf 1C or 1D can be simultaneously received for the delivering equipments 3 in a state where the articles are arranged in order in the delivering equipments 3.
