PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover of an insulated trolley wire connection which facilitates high-place operations for attaching the protective cover for protecting the insulated trolley wire connection. SOLUTION: This two-piece protective cover for protecting the connection of an insulated trolley wire is assembled by passing a bolt 4 through bolt passing parts 4 provided in protective cover main bodies, and tightening the bolt 4 with a nut 5. The bolt passing part 2 of one of the protective cover main bodies comprises an outwardly open recess 8 for insertion of the bolt head 41 or the nut and a bolt insertion part, and the bolt passing part 2 of the other of the protective cover main bodies comprises at least a bolt insertion part. A slit 3 having a width at least equal to the diameter of the bolt and smaller than the width of the bolt head or the width of the nut is provided in the bolt passing parts 2 provided in both protective cover main bodies, and the bolt and nut preassembled are attached to the bolt passing parts 2 through the slit 3 and tightened together to assemble the protective cover main bodies.
