PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex material-made forging die having the high hardness and the wear resistance on the surface and on the other hand, the high strength in the inner part. SOLUTION: Die ring 24 is arranged with ceramic parts 40a, 40b having rich ceramic content from the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface sides and the metal part 44 having rich metal content from the ceramic parts 40a, 40b through gradient parts 42a, 42b, respectively, is provided. The gradient parts 42a, 42b are constituted so that the ratio of the metallic component is gradually reduced or increased.
