PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release anions and to utilize far-infrared rays emitted simultaneously by comprising the simple substance or mixture of white marble, or at least one simple substance or complex in the form of non-porous blocks containing calcium carbonate in non-porous quartz sand as a main component. SOLUTION: A water purifying material comprises the simple substance mineral of white marble or a white marble mixture, or at least one simple substance and/or complex of in the form of non-porous blocks containing calcium carbonate in non-porous quartz sand as a main component. The material comprises (A) a white marble simple substance or a white marble mixture, or a complex in the form of non-porous blocks containing calcium carbonate in non-porous quartz sand as a main component and others, (B) a polymeric compound containing silicon, fluorine, and others which can hardly be charged as main components, (C) a rare element oxide or for example, a complex of an anion releasable mineral (simultaneously emitting far-infrared rays) comprising a rare earth oxide such as monazite.
