<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for testing cytotoxicity, capable of quantifying the toxicity of a chemical subjected to the toxicity test with higher accuracy by accurately measuring the activities of cultured cells one by one. SOLUTION: This cytotoxicity-testing method for testing the cytotoxicity by bringing cells into contact with a chemical to be tested comprises a step of bringing cells 13 stuck to the surfaces of cell-adhesive membrane patterns 12 formed on a substrate 11, into contact with a culture liquid containing the chemical to be tested, and a step of measuring the change in the membrane potentials of the cells brought into contact with the culture liquid to judge the cytotoxicity.</p> |
