PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drill holes in such a manner that a truck is moved in a position that does not approach a working face by making the direction of advance of the truck parallel to the working face. SOLUTION: A truck 3 having a track 2 is provided with a boom device 4 supporting a guide shell having a rock drill mounted thereon, in such a manner that the boom device 4 can pivot up to a direction perpendicular to the direction of advance of the truck 3. During drilling operations, this crawler drill 1 is spaced a predetermined distance away from a working face 30 and is positioned on a bench 31 with the direction of advance being parallel to the working face 30, and the boom device 4 is pivoted toward the working face 30 to bore blasting holes H. Then the truck 3 is moved forward to bore a plurality of blasting holes parallel to the working face 30.
