SHORTENING OF RUNNING-IN PERIOD OF RING FOR SPINNING MACHINE, AND RING FOR SPINNING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring for spinning, capable of shortening the running-in period of the ring usable when the winding is carried out at a high speed in a ring fine spinning machine. SOLUTION: A ring 1 is formed into a shape having a flange 1a suitable for traveling of an O-shaped traveler 2 in the horizontal state. The ring 1 is obtained by forming a carbon steel as the material into a prescribed shape, subjecting the formed carbon steel to a carburizing treatment, and forming a lubricating material layer 3 on the surface of the flange 1a. A paraffin wax or stearic acid is used as the material for the lubricating material layer 3. When a new ring is used, the operation is allowed to be carried out under a spinning and twisting condition of the maximum rotational speed in an ordinary spinning twist from first without carrying out the running-in.
