PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground collapse prevention method capable of greatly reducing work accompanied with vibration or impact such as anchor driving as much as possible to require no temporary work, promoting safety of construction work and, at the same time, realizing the reduction of a construction period of time and surely protecting ground. SOLUTION: A plurality of joint support members 10 are provided at the circumferential edge section surrounding the objective ground 40 such as inclined ground, bedrock or the like having the possibility of collapse as expected and, at the same time, a plurality of pressure holding plates 20 are mounted to proper positions on the objective ground 40. Connections are made among the pressure holding plates 20 or between the pressure holding plates 20 and the joint support members 10 with a plurality of joint members 30, the joint members 30 are stretched over the objective ground 40, and tensile force of the joint members 30 is converted into push force to the objective ground 40 of the pressure holding plates 20 to prevent the collapse of the objective ground 40.
