PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical solid fender which can be easily and costlessly manufactured without use of metal mold or the like and can freely set elements for varying the performance of the fender body. SOLUTION: A ring-shaped restraint member 12 restraining the outer peripheral face 11a from bulging out outwards when the fender is axially compressed as a vessel comes alongside a pier is fitted at the outer peripheral face 11a of both ends of a rubber part 11. The restraint members 12 are disposed on the outer peripheral faces 11a of both ends of the rubber part 11 in a state that one or more rubber sheets 13 incorporated with reinforced fiber are wound up in order to strengthen the adhesion to the outer peripheral faces 11a of both ends of the rubber part 11, and further, an external face rubber sheet 14 is wound on the central part of the rubber part 11 in order to prevent the end edge of the rubber sheets 13 from peeling off.
