PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the actual thermal insulation condition of a rice boiling pot constant by automatically regulating the flow rate of gas in a thermal insulating pathway according to the change of the ambient temperature of the rice boiling pot with a simple mechanical structure. SOLUTION: A flow rate regulation valve 40 using a spring 45 made of shape-memory alloy which is displaced according to the change of the ambient temperature is mounted in a thermal insulating pathway for feeding gas to a thermal insulating burner which warms/heats the rice boiling pot of this rice cooker. In the thermal insulation condition, when the temperature around the rice boiling pot is low, the shape-memory alloy spring 45 contracts and a valve body 47 is widely detached from a valve base 49, so that a gas pathway 48 is widely expanded. Accordingly, as the quantity of gas inputted to the thermal insulating burner is increased, the low-temperature condition around the rice boiling pot is complemented and the rice boiling pot is securely kept in a proper thermal insulation condition. And when the temperature around the rice boiling pot is high, on the contrary, the shape-memory alloy spring extends and the valve body comes close to the valve base, so that the expansion of the gas pathway is controlled.
